Why don't you make your own original Maki-e tray (confectionery plate) and learn about the history and techniques .

After learning about characteristics and history of Urushi lacquer, visitors will learn how to decorate a tea ceremony utensil called "Meimeisara" using the "maki-e" technique. You can take home the created tray on the same day. This program uses a cashew lacquer that does not cause rashes for hands-on experience.
